Welcome to Rural Community Academy

A free public charter school, offering grades K-8.

Sponsored by Ball State University

Located in Graysville, Rural Community Academy is Indiana’s first rural charter school. RCA focuses on the future: our students. If your child is attending school for the first time, or if you are looking to give your child a more hands-on approach to learning, RCA is the place to be. With smaller class sizes, our students thrive in a practical educational environment, with endless learning resources at their disposal.

RCA staff members strive to teach the fundamentals students need, then go one step further to individualize learning programs based on how a student learns. Our fantastic teaching staff has the ability to supplement the curriculum with placed-based activities and utilizing community partnerships both inside and outside the four walls of the classroom.

Rural Community Academy is currently celebrating 17 years of success! With an outstanding staff always willing to go the extra mile, and an administrative team eager to go beyond day-to-day operations are what make RCA such a remarkable school.
